Lamborghini 350 GTV

3rd place – Jack Shepherdson’s Top 10 Classic Grand Touring Cars
When thinking of Lamborghini, the first thing that comes to mind likely isn’t grand tourers, but up until the Miura, Lamborghini focused solely on front engine GT cars. The 350GTV is the first car to wear the raging bull badge, a concept which fathered Ferruccio’s first production car, the 350GT. Understandably, Lamborghini knew the GTV was never going to be a production realty. The Bizzarrini designed 3.5 litre V12 was detuned from 342 horsepower to a more reasonable, 270. The Scaglione body was revised by Carrozzeria Touring for practicality reasons and the production ready 350GT was born.

Lamborghini placed the 350GTV into storage till the 80’s, at which point it passed through several owners. The car is now on display at the Lamborghini museum in Sant’Agata.
